As NJPW continued to roll on to New Beginning in Osaka on February 11th. There, IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr. will put the title on the line against the Hirooki Goto who won the right to challenge Sabre by winning the New Japan Ranbo at Wrestle Kingdom.

Tonight though, Goto teamed with El Desperado against TMDK’s Sabre Jr. and Kosei Fujita in the main event and Goto got on up on the champ. Goto and Sabre did start out the match. Sabre missed a roundhouse kick and fell to the mat. He tagged out as did Goto.

Desperado and Fujita fought on the floor as Sabre put Goto in an octopus hold in the ring. Sabre took Goto to the floor forearming him into a barricade. More submission moves from Sabre on the floor as all four men abandoned the ring for the floor.

Sabre ducks and Desperado accidentally tags Goto in the face with a punch. Fujita drop kicks Desperado out of the ring splashing him on the floor. Sabre gives Goto his neck twist thingy and a running kick to the chest. Goto reverses a Zack Driver into a roll-up for the win.

Sabre is frustrated. Goto thanks Desperado as Fujita stares him down.

Just Four Guys (Taichi, Taka Michinoku) vs Bullet Club War Dogs (Sanada and Clark Connors)

Sanada is wearing a shirt that says: “F–k Just 4 Guys”. Funny that.

As the Guys are entering the ring the War Dogs attack taking the fight to the floor. Sanada drags Taichi through the crowd. Connors smashes Taka into a barricade and rams him into a steel post. Sanada hits Taichi with a steel chair in the stomach. While the official is distracted Sanada chokes out Taka with his wrist tape when they return to the ring.

Taka has Connors all locked up. Connors makes the ropes though. Connors spears Taka as he comes off the ropes. He pins him with No Chaser. Sanada and Taichi are still battling on the floor. Sanada slams Taichi’s head into a metal sign mounted on a wall of the arena. An angry Taichi grabs a steel chair and runs the War Dogs off.

Winners: Bullet Club War Dogs (Sanada and Clark Connors)

Shota Umino, Master Wato and Tomohiro Ishii vs The United Empire (Francesco Akira, Jakob Austin Young and The Great-O-Khan)

Shota Umino greets a young fan. Courtesy: NJPW.

On his way to the ring Umino hands a young fan one of his light sticks. There is some shoving from Akira and Wato before the bell even rings. Umino takes it upon himself to shove Khan. Akira tells Umino nobody has time for his nonsense. Umino responds by instructing Akira to do something physically impossible for any human being to do. What the…?!?!? I thought they were all faces?

Akira leaps over the top rope onto Wato on the floor. When Ishii enters the ring he halts the high-flier with stinging forearm shots. One shoulder tackle takes Akira down though. Young works over Ishii’s leg grounding the powerhouse. Khan takes over punishing Ishii.

Ishii clobbers Young knocking him out of the ring. Akira stuns Ishii with kicks to the head. Ishii lays him out with a clothesline though. A back heel kick and a bridging suplex by Wato puts Young away. Umino and Khan continue to have words after the match.

Khan heads into the crowd swipes the light stick from the scared kid. He is about to destroy it. What a jerk. Umino kicks the stuffing out of Khan whipping him into a steel post. Umino then hands the stick back to the girl.

Winners: Shota Umino, Master Wato and Tomohiro Ishii

Yoshi-Hashi, Yoh, Tomoaki Honma vs TMDK (Ryohei Oiwa, Robbie Eagles and Hartley Jackson)

Oiwa grabs Hashi by the throat before the bell rings for some reason. What is with these faces? I don’t get it. Hashi breaks clean but Oiwa tries to kick him. Yoshi lights him up with chops. Oiwa fight back with chops of his own. Yoh and Honma takes down Eagles with a double shoulder tackle. Honma goes for the Kokeshi but Eagles escapes. Honma eats the mat instead.

Big bruiser Jackson has his way with Yoh. Eagles takes over with a running knee that almost pins a devastated Yoh. Yoh escapes Eagles eventually tagging in Honma. Oiwa cannot take Honma down. Honma’s punches bring him down to one knee. Oiwa takes Honma down with a shoulder tackler. Oiwa clotheslines Honma. Honma kicks out at two. Oiwa slaps a sleeper on Honma. When Honma won’t submit he Oiwa pins him with his spinning clothesline. Hashi and Oiwa have words and probably not nice ones.

Winners: TMDK (Ryohei Oiwa, Robbie Eagles and Hartley Jackson)

LIJ (Yota Tsuji, Shingo Takagi, Tetsuya Naito and Hiromu Takahashi) vs Bullet Club War Dogs (Gabe Kidd, Drilla Maloney, Taiji Ishimori and Gedo)

Yota Tsuji boots Gabe Kidd. Courtesy: NJPW.

Tsuji gets into Kidd’s face right away during the introductions. They are the first to start the match. They belt each other with chops, open-hand slaps and haymakers. Tsuji reverses Kidd’s suplex into one of his own. The heels swarm Naito cutting him off from his pals. Ishimori takes out a rope and starts strangling Naito when the official’s back is turned. With Hiromu’s interference Naito tags out after being pummeled for minutes on end.

Hiromu targets Gedo’s leg. Naito helps out. Hiromu forces Gedo to submit to his modified figure four lock.

Maloney and Shingo battle long after the bell rings. Kidd tells Tsuji he will take the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship away from him as he is the top guy in NJPW.

Winners: LIJ (Yota Tsuji, Shingo Takagi, Tetsuya Naito and Hiromu Takahashi)
