For the first time ever the Royal Rumble will not take place in North America when it is presented in 2026.
PWInsider is reporting that Saudi Arabia will host the event. The only other Royal Rumble event to be held outside the USA was the very first in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1988.
“We are told the deal to take the event to Saudi is locked in and that an official announcement could come as soon as this Monday’s Raw Netflix premiere,” states PWInsider.
One wonders how the WWE or fans for that matter will handle the event in the sense that Saudi Arabia is up to 8 to 11 hours ahead of most cities in North America and The Rumble is not an event fans want spoiled.
This year’s Rumble takes place Saturday, Feburary 1st at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
