The action and the intrigue didn’t end when Saturday Night’s Main Event did.
After the show concluded Kevin Owens engaged in some extracurricular activities. Owens clobbered Rhodes from behind as he was addressing the crowd. He then gave him a package piledriver in the middle of the ring.
As he left the ring Owens took the retired WWF Championship (Winged Eagled) belt with him. HHH had given Cody the belt just for SNME, one night only.
Owens then got into a verbal and physical confrontation with HHH as he entered the backstage area. HHH shoved Owens.
Meanwhile, Cody had to be loaded onto a stretcher and into an ambulance.
“Someone keep eyes on Owens!” shouted Smackdown GM Nick Aldis as the ambulance drove away.
