Fightful Select is reporting that Ryan Nemeth filed a harassment complaint with AEW but nothing ever came of it.
In his complaint Nemeth provided emails, text and other evidence in which he says he suffered abuse from CM Punk. He claims AEW didn’t address or investigate any of his claims.
Many believe this complaint stems from an altercation Nemeth had with Punk over a social media posting he made in which he referred to Punk as the “softest man alive” after Punk cut on promo on Collision stating that the Elite and other AEW talent were “soft”. Punk and Nemeth had a heated confronted in the locker room about it with Punk accusing Nemeth of trying to get over with The Young Bucks and their friends. Word at the time was that Nemeth was effectively banned from Collision and Nemeth blamed Punk who was supervising Collision at the time, for that.
Nemeth maintains he was “silently fired” after the confrontation and that AEW offered him a settlement if he signed an NDA. They later withdrew that offer. Nemeth claims that he discussed the issue with mental health professionals and that AEW’s legal representatives Megha Parekh and Chris Peck didn’t address the problem as they should have. Megha Parekh is apparently no longer with AEW.
