The IWGP Tag Team Champions are slated to face whichever team wins the World Tag League tournament at Wrestle Kingdom. The belief that The Great-O-Khan and Henare would still be the champs at the big event was shattered tonight as they took a very big, very embarrassing loss right out of the gate.
During B Block’s first night of competition The Great-O-Khan and Henare took on the unlikely team of Just Four Guys’ Taichi and Taka Michinoku.
Henare and Great-O-Khan had TaiChi all set up and look to have the victory in the bag but Taka catches Khan coming off the ropes spiking him with an authentic Michinoku Driver. Taichi and Taka super kick Henare right in the mouth. Taichi tears off his pants to reveal his tights underneath. Khan gets super kicked in the chops as Taka holds Henare in a crossface. Taichi pins Khan with a Black Mephisto stunning the crowd in attendance. Taichi and Taka notch a very important win against the IWGP Tag Team Champions and also score two points in the tournament. Taichi and Taka pose with the belts ticking off the champs.
