NXT, the WWE’s developmental brand, has beaten AEW’s flagship show Dynamite in last night’s head-to-head ratings battle.
On their rare Wednesday night episode NXT broadcast from what used to be the old ECW Arena now the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The show featured appearances by a number of former ECW talent.
The episode garnered 619,000 overnight viewers and a key demo of 0.17. That was up from last week’s 588,000 and 0.14. Last week was the first time NXT lost in overall viewership to AEW Dynamite in a month’s time.
AEW Dynamite brought in 523,000 overnight viewers last night and a key demo of 0.16. That’s down from 628,000 overnight viewers last week and a key demo of 0.19.
Dynamite’s average viewership over the last two months has been 602,125 overnight viewers and a key demo of 0.18.
NXT’s average viewership over the same time period has been 701,750 overnight viewers and a key demo of 0.19.
