Dynamite gives us a Powerhouse of a show

Greetings and salutations! It’s Wednesday and you know what that means! We are here for a stacked AEW Dynamite. Tonight’s card sees Adam Cole taking on Malakai Black. We also have Konosuke Takeshita teaming with Kyle Fletcher taking on Ricochet and a mystery partner. Plus, Orange Cassidy teaming with Darby Allin to take on Claudio Castagnoli and PAC. With such a jam packed show, let’s get to the action.

Its (Hurt) Business Time

Tony Schiavone is in the ring and out comes The Hurt Syndicate. MVP says he needs no introduction and has Schiavone leave the ring. MVP introduces Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley. MVP says that their main goal is to enrich the lives of younger talent. MVP continues to say that if he offers you his business card, it’s a golden ticket for the rest of your life, but if you reject it… “this happens”.

They air a video of Lashley’s debut from last week as The Hurt Syndicate took out Swerve Strickland. Strickland is out and Prince Nana stops him at the top. Strickland challenges Bobby Lashley to a match at Full Gear and it’s accepted!

Orange Cassidy & Darby Allin VS Claudio Castagnoli & PAC

Darby Allin is on his way out and it’s pandemonium as everyone brawls around the arena. Eventually, the match gets started. PAC and Castagnoli take the early lead in the match working over Cassidy. After a commercial break and some more intense action, Allin is able to get the hot tag and he clears house. PAC and Castagnoli take over and start beating him down. PAC hits Super-brainbuster off the ropes to Allin for a 2-count. After some more back-and-forth action, Marina Shafir gets involved. This gets Jon Moxley and Wheeler Yuta coming out and the match is over.

Winners: Orange Cassidy & Darby Allin via DQ

Mox and company, or the Death Riders beats everyone up, until The Conglomeration makes the save.

Ricochet is backstage with Renee Paquette and as Paquette tries to get Ricochet to tell us who his mystery partner is, The Hurt Syndicate comes out and MVP wishes Ricochet good luck later tonight in the main event and hands him a business card….

Fight Without Honor Trios Match: The Learning Tree VS The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe, Kyle O’Reilly, Tomohiro Ishii)

We get started right away as Briscoe Suplexes Jericho through a table on the floor. Bryan Keith is on fire and showing us be can swing as he uses a kendo stick on all members of The Comglomerate. Big Bill and Kyle O’Reilly fight to the back. Back in the ring, we see a Tower of Doom spot.

Backstage Big Bill sets a table up and tries to slam O’Reilly through it but O’Reilly locks in a front choke that causes both men to go through the table. Back inside the ring, we see all the weapons along with some tables, ladders and chairs set up. Briscoe lays Jericho out on a table and climbs a ladder, and drives a HUGE ELBOW to send Jericho through a table. Keith breaks up the pin. Ishii picks up Jericho and hits a Brain Buster for the win.

Winners: The Conglomeration

Jon Moxley is backstage with Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir. Moxley says Yuta doesn’t owe Orange Cassidy anything and he says he used to have high hopes for Darby Allin, but he’s dissappointed now.

Adam Cole VS Malakai Black

Black gets started and puts a target on Cole’s ankle. Black hits a Running knee lift and gets a 2-count. Cole starts to make a comeback and fights back. Cole is looking for the BOOM as he lowers his knee pad down, but he runs right into Black’s The End for yet another 2-count. Cole fights back and hits a Panama Sunrise and Super kick. He goes to pick Black up, but Black hits him with a kick from his back.

Cole and Black are both up, but Black falls back to the mat and struggles to get up. Black yells at Cole finish him. Cole drops the boom and gets the win.

Winner: Adam Cole

After the match, Cole extended his hand to Black for a handshake and Black knocked it away and hugs him. Adam Cole gets on the microphone after the match and gives kudos to Black. Cole reminds us that he only has one more win before he can face MJF at Full Gear, while Roderick Strong has two. Cole said that he talked to Tony Khan and if he and Strong both get three wins by Full Gear they will face MJF in a three-way match at Full Gear.

We see MJF at his home mad about that announcement and he makes a call to someone saying that he needs them to pay someone a visit.

Jay White is with Renee Paquette and is talking about his match with Adam Page at Full Gear. Page jumps him and the two brawl to ringsid. Page tries to hang up White’s ankle in the barricade and smash it with a chair, but Juice Robinson is out for the save. Page runs away through the crowd.

Kris Statlander is backstage when a car pulls up and almost hits her. Once again. the most dangerous place in wrestling!  Mercedes Mone is yelling at Kamille for screwing up again and hitting someone with the car. Statlander is up and beats on both women….

Christian Cage & HOOK Face-To-Face

Christian Cage is out with The Patriarchy. Cage has a security detail at ringside and he says it’s for everyone’s protection when HOOK comes out. Cage officially welcomes Kip Sabian into the group and says that for taking one for the team at Grand Slam, it saved him from an attack by Castagnoli and PAC. Cage says Kip did more for him than any of his other sons have ever done and the two hug out out as Nick Wayne looks on.

HOOK comes out and tells Cage to talk fast because he doesn’t have any patience. Cage says he needs a son like HOOK and he took out Taz in order to get him into The Patriarchy and said that he wished HOOK’s father was dead. HOOK heard enough and takes out the security and gets into the ring, but The Patriarchy runs away.

Don Callis is with Alex Marvez. Callis is approached by a man in a suit who gives him an envelope of cash and the Dynamite Diamond Ring. They play a voice message from MJF who asks Callis to take care of Adam Cole before Full Gear, but utters a threat if its not done.

Ford goes after Hayter and gets the early momentum on her side. Hayter eventually comes back and hits Hayter-Aid for the win.

Winner: Jamie Hayter

We see that Mina Shirakawa is coming next week

A video package airs for Kazuchika Okada. This video also hypes this year’s Continental Classic tournament.

Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher VS Ricochet and Powerhouse Hobbs

Ricochet’s mystery partner is revealed to be Powerhouse Hobbs as Ricochet said that Hobbs’ contract with the Callis family is done.

Once the match starts, Hobbs is dominant. Hobbs hits an avalanche turning power slam to Takeshita from the middle ropes. Fletcher tries jumping Hobbs from behind, but Hobbs pulls him down and bats him down.

Ricochet and Fletcher battle it out for a bit, until he’s able to hit all the Ricochet moves for the win.

Winners: Ricochet & Powerhouse Hobbs

After the match Fletcher attacks Ricochet and out comes Mark Davis who confronts his former partner. Davis shoves Fletcher, but gets attacked from behind by Lance Archer and Brian Cage. Adam Cole is out and Konosuke Takeshita confronts him. They brawl to the back.
