WWE announcer Samantha Irvin had some choice words for wrestling fans over the weekend.
What seemed to spark the back and forth with fans was the reaction to the news that WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill will host the 2024 WWE Bad Blood PLE.
Many fans believe Belair and Cargill would be better used actually wrestling on the show instead of hosting a secondary event.
It’s embarrassing how they fail to book not one single black talent on the card but then try to uno reverse the damage by making these two hosts for the ppv 😭😭😭 I’m happy to see bianca and jade tho.. hopefully damage control will interrupt them and get a brawl or something

They gotta stop with active wrestlers being hosts. Save it for actual rarely seen talent or celebs

Besides whats the point of a host? They show up for 5 minutes on a 3 hour long PLE (looking at you MITB PLE, WM39…)

…but the post that riled up Irvin was this one…
Yall know I adore them. But why does Bad Blood need a host?!? This ain’t WrestleMania or SunmerSlam 🤣 pic.twitter.com/1760rQTOpb

She responded:
IWC knows how to book PLE’s, secure sponsors, delegate budgets, call matches, commentate, brand & market, but they don’t know how to enjoy the show.

Fans fired back:
We can enjoy the show but we also are allowed to criticize things that we don’t like. That’s part of being a wrestling fan

And she did as well:
And I can criticize the critics 🙏🏽

To make people happy. To have fun. To celebrate the champs who been on damn near every show and to not ignore the crossover main stream appeal these women have accomplished.
And who knows what else they have in store 👀

The Bad Blood event itself is returning after 20 years this Saturday.
