Injury bug hits NJPW as yet another talent joins the disabled list

NJPW is dealing with a rash of injuries that are forcing them to make changes to their upcoming shows.

The promotion reported on September 10th that Ren Narita injured his right arm at the Road to Destruction event in Korakuen Hall and would be out of action.

Last week, NJPW revealed that new signee Jake Lee sustained an injury to his right foot.

“Jake Lee is currently undergoing valuation and his return date is to be determined,” stated the promotion.

Now, NJPW is reporting that veteran Hiroyoshi Tenzan has sustained an injury to his right knee and will be out of action for the remainder of the Road to Destruction events this month.

“We apologize to fans who were looking forward to seeing Tenzan wrestle and appreciate your understanding,” NJPW wrote.

NJPW’s next big event is Destruction in Kobe on September 29th.
