Today, we saw the seventh match for all participants in G1 Climax 34’s B Block.

Hirooki Goto headlined the show, scoring the upset victory over the Bullet Club War Dogs leader, David Finlay.

The match began with a test of strength between the two men until Goto took Finlay down with a headlock. Goto then sent Finlay to the outside with a hip toss over the top rope, as he got back in the ring he was met with a shoulder tackle from Goto. However, Finlay now came right back with a hotshot onto the ropes to Goto and a Russian leg sweep. He then took the action outside the ring to throw Goto into the barricade and bite at his head.

He continued to beat down Goto with kicks and punches until he returned him into the ring. Finlay laid into Goto with uppercuts, choked him and even raked his eyes. He then tried to bounce off the ropes, but he was met with a big clothesline from Goto. The attack from Goto continued with a corner spinning heel kick and a back suplex. He followed that with a forearm, but Finlay then charged him with a Cactus Clothesline onto the floor.

Finlay now charged Goto into the barricade again and removed the padding from the floor. He tried to powerbomb Goto on the exposed floor, however, Goto used all his strength to block it and flipped Finlay spine-first on the floor. Goto wanted to send Finlay into the barricade now, but it was reversed by Finlay and Goto was sent into it for the third time. Finlay now brought the match back into the ring and was biting Goto’s fingers.

He then drilled Goto with a back elbow and wanted a second, however, Goto bounced out of the corner and drilled Finlay with a clothesline. Goto now dropped Finlay with an Ushi-Goroshi and both men were now trading strikes in the middle of the ring. It was Goto coming out of that exchange on top as he hit Finlay with a reverse GTR and another big clothesline. That was followed by a one-man Shoto to Finlay and he then wanted the GTR, but Finlay reversed it to hit the Into Oblivion.

Finlay continued with a Buckle Bomb to Goto and a release power bomb. He next called for the finish, but Goto blocked and hit Finlay with Shouten Kai. As both men tried to recover Gedo got up on the apron distracting the referee and Finlay grabbed his shileleigh. He tried to hit Goto with it, but he ducked and drilled Finlay with a headbutt. Goto now kicked Finlay in the chest before hitting the GTW. He now hit a second headbutt before finally connecting a GTR to get the victory.
