WrestleTalk and Fightful are reporting that Shane McMahon and Tony Khan met ahead of Dynamite this week.
The meeting was centered around how and if the two sides wanted to move forward with future plans.
Khan has addressed McMahon having interest in AEW stating to Sports Illustrated: “I heard the rumor he might be interested,” said Khan, referring to the discussion from the Grilling JR podcast between Conrad Thompson and Jim Ross. “I’ve never met Shane, but we have a lot of mutual friends. I have a lot of respect for him as an executive and a professional wrestler. Shane is always welcome in AEW.”
Shane McMahon is not currently under contract to the WWE and hasn’t appeared on WWE television since his ill-fated appearance at WrestleMania 39.
