AEW’s Jeff Jarrett has publicly expressed his gratitude to pop mega star Taylor Swift for all she has done for his family.

Appearing on WREG, Jarrett detailed how Swift came to the aid of his family when his wife Jill Gregory was diagnosed with breast cancer. Jill passed away in 2007.

In 2007, Swift was just 17 and had just released her debut album.

“She’s a friend of the family. She was very good to my family during a very, very dark period,” Jarrett said.

When his wife was ill Swift would come over and take care of the Jarrett children, spend time with them and asked for nothing in return. Jarrett said his kids looked up to her like a big sister. Jarrett’s daughter Jaclyn was even in Swift’s video for “Mine”.

The Jarrett family is still close with Swift despite her rise to superstardom.

“I can’t say enough good things about Taylor. She’s such a sweetheart,” he said.
