A user on X has shared a personal message Randy Orton send him in hopes of inspiring other fans who may be dealing with depression.
Orton’s battle with back issues played out publicly for 18 months. There were even thoughts that he may never return to the squared circle again. He silenced those critics, pundits and medical officials when he returned at Survivor Series: WarGames.
X member @SamirParvez posted a private message Randy Orton sent him dealing with the subject of depression.
Orton wrote:
“Nobody is immune to Depression. I was out for 18 months, was told my career was over. For 6 months I had a terrible headspace. You have to find the motivation to start something, and then continue it, become consistent at it. Something healthy. For me, it was my back healing, eating right, hitting the gym properly and seeing the results. Look for anything that can make you see the improvement in whatever it is you’re doing. Even if it’s selfless acts, like helping others less fortunate. Depression is real, but we are resilient. Don’t give up.”
@SamirParvez responded with:

I agree with this because I’ve dealt with it all my life since I’ve had/have a tough life. It’s never easy and will never will be. But overcoming adversity each time makes you stronger than before. Never giving up is one of the things that combats depression as well as activities
