DAZN ends AEW deal early

Sports streaming platform DAZN has ended its three year deal with AEW ahead of schedule.

It will no longer stream AEW content or pay-per-views due to the promotion’s disappointing numbers.

The deal between the two was signed early last year but was cancelled on December 31st by DAZN.

Steven Muehlhausen, who used to work at DAZN wrote on X: “The reason DAZN dropped AEW was because except for All In, the PPV numbers were below expectations and not enough people were watching (except for select episodes and the first month of Collision) where AEW was available internationally so DAZN ended the deal early.”

DAZN brought AEW content to 42 countries in Europe and Asia.

Recently, the ViX, streaming service owned by TelevisaUnivision, also ended their deal with AEW. Vix is available in United States (including Puerto Rico), Mexico and the rest of Latin America (excluding Brazil).
