SmackDown: Rhodes slaps The Rock

The Rock and Cody Rhodes

The Rock and Cody Rhodes

My mood goes down, my patience runs out and the urge to break something over this man’s head is very high. Logan Paul’s voice is such a bore that I’m happy I ignored everything he felt the need to say… except for the part that his beverage company Prime has partnered with WWE as a sponsor. Why…?

The only thing of real relevance is when Randy Orton drops Logan’s unfortunate friend, KSI, whoever he is, on his ass as payback for what happened at Elimination Chamber involving brash knuckles.

Thank you for stopping this madness from going on and on and on and on….

Randy Orton & Kevin Owens vs. Grayson Waller & Austin Theory – Tag Team match

Owens whiplashes Theory with a sudden shoulder tackle followed by a deep arm drag. The Prize Fighter kept Austin’s arm under lock and key as he stretches it out. The team of Theory and Waller haven’t been able to get momentum in this match since it started.

Orton has come into the fray to brawl with Grayson, who was reluctant to fight him rather than Owens. Randy had Grayson cornered as he delivers nine punches to Waller and one to Austin for trying to interfere. However, that costed the Viper to be attacked by Grayson.

Orton manages to separate himself from two assaulting fronts, so he could tag Kevin, who explodes a couple of clotheslines to Austin. Regrettably, Theory’s rolling drop kick stuns Owens to retreat outside only to get planted by Waller.

The audacious duo have a handle of things after the earlier success, but Waller made the mistake to mock Randy Orton’s RKO. So, once the Viper was tagged in, he unleashed hell on Grayson.

Waller very nearly stole a win after that distraction from Theory, luckily, Randy was able to get out of that cover.

Randy and Kevin’s Pop Up RKO combination was a sight to behold. It stunned Theory so badly that he looked like an exclamation point. Ha! Ha! Ha!

I’m so happy they won that I won’t let Logan’s sneak attack ruin my moment, so bye.

Winners: Randy Orton & Kevin Owens

During an interview with Kayla Braxton, Bayley relives the betrayal within Damage Control and leaving it in pursuit of the WWE Women’s Championship from Iyo Sky.

Despite the months of fakeness, Bayley didn’t expect it to go to this extent. There are people who believe she had it coming, and she’s not surprised by that opinion. Most of what Bayley did was, indeed, for attention, to get to the top. But other times, she did it for Iyo and Dakota knowing she’d do anything for them.

With all that in mind, it has made her more focused on the task ahead at WrestleMania to break Damage Control down until there’s nothing left. Naomi was watching backstage. She looked… concerned.

Bianca Belair on the other hand, didn’t give a damn. Ha! Ha! She thinks that Bayley had it coming, and this is her comeuppance. She reminds Naomi that it’s easy for her to be slightly forgiving of Bayley because she wasn’t present at the time when the chaos erupted like a bad science project.

Naomi understands Bayley’s situation because she’s been part of alliances like that, minus the egotism and thirst for delusional power. Ha! It hurts, nonetheless, when they stomp on your heart.

Bobby Lashley vs. Karrion Kross

Lashley isn’t used to being manhandled by anyone, so it shocked him when Karrion was able to suplex him the way he did much to the delight of Scarlett. Bobby fights back with a suplex of his own followed by a big clothesline that sends Kross to the outside.

Lashley had Kross on his back, wanting to force a collision with the post, but Scarlett wouldn’t let him. That allows Karrion to shove the All Mighty into the post instead. Karrion has the upper hand for a good portion of this fight. Lashley hasn’t climbed back yet.

Oof. Oof. Oof. That large cut coming down from Bobby’s left shoulder to his pectoral is frightening to look it. This is the second time I’ve seen him battered like this. The first time was on his head from last year, I believe. I don’t remember who caused it though.

The All Mighty turns things around with a clothesline then collides Karrion with the post. Kross counters with a modified Death Valley Driver.

Bobby is truly impressive as he fights the pain by planting Karrion against the mat. I think he could have won if it weren’t for the sudden appearance of AoP. The Street Profits rush over to assist.

“Surprised we maintained civility this long.” said Corey Graves

Just as Bobby continues to inflict punishment on Karrion, Scarlett is caught red-handed trying to save her man. B-Fab arrives and rightfully slaps her. It was funny witnessing B-Fab chasing after Scarlett. Ha!

Alas, even with the added help, Lashley wasn’t able to get out of there unscathed. Oof. They were laid to waste…

Winner: No one

After Carlito picked up a win for the LWO last week and Rey Mysterio’s return, Dragon Lee is seen backstage on the phone with the Hall of Famer himself. Legado del Fantasma approach him completely appalled with that notion. They attempt to crush Dragon Lee’s belief in being the future.

For the Class of 2024, inductees Paul Heyman, Bull Nakano and U.S. Express will be joining the Hall of Immortals on April 5th. Much deserved all around.

Michin vs. Tiffany Stratton

Michin tries to pin Stratton early with a back slide, but she isn’t able to given the counter her opponent delivers in the form of a brutal plant.

Michin nearly lost after that heavy stomp from Stratton. I actually thought it was over right there honestly. Tiffy showed real promise this entire match regardless of that spine-chilling personality of hers. I’m not blind. Just don’t be another Logan Paul, okay, then we’ll be fine.

Tiffany’s challenger tries to turn the tied with a vertical suplex. Michin’s need for approval while attempting the Styles’ Clash got railroaded by an Alabama Slam from Tiffy followed by a winning Prettiest Moonsault.

Winner: Tiffany Stratton

AJ Styles explains why he flew all the way to Elimination Chamber to do what he did to LA Knight. Styles doesn’t like the fact that the Megastar walks around here like he owns the place, so he simply extinguished that opinion.

LA Knight saw Styles’ declaration of war and decides to destroy the tv with a chair. Ha!

Angel vs. Dragon Lee

Right out of the gate, Dragon Lee delivers a thunderous drop kick to Angel, shoving him into the corner. Lee’s kicks are harsh, to say the least. Angel is still struck in the corner. Ha! Ha!

Angel pretends to have tweaked his knee as the official checks in on him. The pretenses were over as Angel drop kicks Lee. Dragon counters with a sit-out powerbomb that leaves the rest of Legado del Fantasma shocked and silent.

That double stomp from Dragon plants Angel so far into the mat. Garza wisely rolls out of the ring into the arms of Humberto. Dragon lands nicely on both cousins. Lee won with an incredible reversal pinning Angel down.

As he celebrates, Humberto, Santos and Angel make him pay. At this time, Dragon had no backup because the LWO weren’t in the building. How unlucky…

Winner: Dragon Lee

Damage Control don’t care for Bayley’s vision since she was never part of theirs. It was easy to manipulate her knowing she wasn’t using her brain. Dakota has always been the brains of the operation, Bayley simply had the influence and the voice to bring them forward till they didn’t need her anymore.

Bayley is looking to tear them apart as she’s mentioned earlier, so Dakota begs her to prove it in the ring next week. If you really analyze it, you can see what they mean.

Also happening next Friday is the return Rey Mysterio.

Elsewhere, Nick Aldis was looking for Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes thinking they were in the locker room where he left them. Ha! It’s time for our answer.

Cody and Seth’s daring entrance through the crowd left Roman gasping. Ha! The look on his face says it all. What’s even more ‘in your face’ is when Rhodes asks The Rock if he has the authority to make the stipulations given he acknowledged Roman as his Tribal Chief.

Just as Cody was about to give them an answer, The Rock shuts him and Seth up like canon fire. Damn. When he explains that he acknowledged Reigns is due to the fact that they’re family. The weird thing is that Seth and Cody don’t seem to believe that’s the reason.

The crowd calls The Rock “diarrhea”. Ha! Since The Rock shut Cody up, Seth shuts him up in return. “Mr. Mid-Life Crisis,” Ha! Seth may have accepted, but Reigns laughs at the hesitations of Cody to answer for himself given it’s his future.

If he doesn’t win then he won’t get another opportunity since The Rock is on the TKO board of directors who own WWE, which means he can make the World Heavyweight Championship go away and Rhodes. This was directed at Cody.

“You’re 20 years younger than your siblings? You wanna know why? Because you were a mistake.” Goddamn… And that slap the American Nightmare sent his ass. Oof.

I feel like we still didn’t get an answer… Ha!
