Natalya Neidhart has been a staple with the WWE for an astounding 17 years. She was a central part of the women’s revolution in WWE. She has been the WWE Divas Champion, the WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion and held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship with Tamina.

Despite all of her accomplishments Natalya is far from done in the squared circle. She has a lot she still wants to do.

As a guest on a recent episode of the Gorilla Position podcast Natalya explained that she is  fighting for opportunities to elevate her career even higher.

“I would love to do more in the company. I’ve been fighting for more my entire career to be perfectly honest. There’s still so much more that I’d love to do. I am still young enough to be able to do all the things that I want to do,” said the 41-year-0ld daughter of WWE great, Jim ‘The Anvil’ Neidhart.

Natalya explained that as a veteran and experience performer she has a lot to still bring to the table, as she has proved every time she is given that chance.

“When we have opportunities we have to nail those performances and I feel like every time I have gotten an opportunity to have a championship match like I did last year with Rhea Ripley on Raw, I felt extremely proud of that match. We did really great ratings with it and it was very, very well-received. I remember feeling so happy with that and being every time I am given an opportunity I have to nail it because I want to be able to prove to the people who make the decisions about my career that I can go and that I can hang,” she said.

Despite her sporadic booking on WWE television she isn’t giving up the fight to become a weekly fixture.

“I absolutely do want more! I have always wanted more! I still want more today! The thing is and I stand by this, there is only so much control I have though. It is a television show. WWE is a TV show. While I may want to be the lead actress in the show I have to keep fighting for that. It is just like any of us. Becky Lynch has to fight for it. Rhea Ripley has to fight for it. We ALL have to keep fighting for it. It is so competitive right now,” she said.

On the positive side of things, Natalya is seen as a dependable talent and there is a lot on the horizon for the Hart Family Dungeon graduate.

“The company looks at me like a steady, stable foundation for so many different reasons but for me, it is okay to want more and say ‘Hey, I want to be the bride.’ I don’t mind being the bridesmaid but sometimes I want to be the bride. I am confident that 2024 is going to be a huge year of growth for me for so many different reasons. I am working on so many different projects right now that are really exciting and I am over the moon about them,” she said.
