Word out of last night’s NXT tapings is that Shotzi was injured during her match against Lyra Valkyria for the NXT Women’s Championship.
In a spot where Shotzi leap off the top rope onto Lyra on the apron, Shotzi landed hard on the floor on her knee.
The match was stopped, Shotzi was helped to the back as she couldn’t put any weight on her knee and NXT General Manager Ava announced that Shotzi wasn’t medically cleared to return to the match. She announced an open challenge for anyone who wanted to face Lyra Valkyria for the title. Lash Legend accepted. Valkyria defeated Legend to retain.
Shotzi appeared on last night’s live NXT show in a backstage segment and took up the challenge from Lyra Valkyria for the championship. The taping last night is meant to air next week.
Shotzi was also supposed to take on Tiffany Stratton in an Elimination Chamber Qualifying on SmackDown this week.
