British wrestler and actor Ian “Bully Boy” Muir has passed away, with the news being broke by Mal Ardley-Sanders and then announced on Facebook by Stephen Barker who wrote:
“Sad news announced by Mal Ardley-Sanders late last night that BULLY BOY IAN MUIR has sadly passed away in London, at the age of 81. Ian was a great character in and out of the ring, and a regular at the Southern gatherings and starred in a number of full-length feature films including Time Bandits. We will advise of details of the funeral arrangements when known. RIP – BULLY BOY”

Born in Lanark, Scotland, Muir was a hulking man, described as both a “super-heavyweight” and a “baddy with a fiery temper,” Muir was a big man who earned the Bully Boy nickname. He is known as one of the most disqualified wrestlers of all time, with cheap shots galore.
Muir had a role in the popular British sci-fi film Time Bandits, released in 1981, fittingly playing a giant, which worked given that he was a big man, weighing in at 25 stone or around 308 pounds.
Further information on the cause of death and next of kin are not known at this time. Muir was 81 at the time of his death.
Slam Wrestling was contacted by a grandchild of Ian’s regarding funeral details. The Funeral service will be held on March 14, 2024 at 12:00pm at Mortlake Cemetery Chapel in London, England. A wake will be held on the same day at 2:00pm at The Mitre in Fulham, England.
