Kevin Patrick (Kevin Egan) is out as a Smackdown commentator.
It is not known who will be replacing him on the blue brand but the change could come as early as this Friday. It is not clear if this means Patrick’s stint with the WWE is over or not.
Reporting on the news, The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer said: “I’m not surprised. Corey Graves has been totally carrying the SmackDown announcing. I don’t know who they’ll bring in, could be Vic Joseph.”
Recently, Michael Cole was moved back to Raw with Wade Barrett leaving Patrick and Graves as the official Smackdown announce team as the WWE has went back to having a two-man commentary booth on both shows.
Patrick has also worked for Fox Sports, Apple TV+ and CNN World Sport as a commentator in the past.
He started working for the WWE in 2021 beginning on Raw and then moving to Smackdown.
