Continuing its international reach under new owner, Endeavor, WWE announced today that its Money in the Bank premium live event will be held in Toronto on Saturday, July 6, at the Scotiabank Arena.

In the first eight months of 2024 alone, WWE is headed to Perth, Australia for Elimination Chamber on February 24, Lyon, France for WrestleMania Backlash on May 4, and Germany for Bash in Berlin on August 31.

Toronto has never hosted the Money in the Bank special. The last major event in Toronto was SummerSlam in 2019.

As with SummerSlam in 2019, WWE will be in Toronto for the weekend, with Friday Night SmackDown on Friday, July 5 and NXT Heatwave on Sunday, July 7.

“Toronto is an amazing city with a passion for sports entertainment,” said WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque in a press release. “We’re excited to bring Money In The Bank to Canada for the first time, as we continue to lock down the most globally focused schedule in company history.”

The last major pro wrestling event in Toronto at Scotiabank Arena was the AEW-NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view in June 2023.
