Yet another Day One AEW superstar, talent has left the promotion.

What a wonderful time it has been.
Thank you @AEW for allowing me to be there from the ground level. It’s been a fantastic 5 years of growth and personal development.
This is a personal choice and one that is best for me and my family at this time.
Thank you to all, staff…

Spears debuted for AEW at its very first event, Double or Nothing in 2019 as part of the Casino Battle Royale. Spears became “The Chairman of AEW” and was managed by wrestling legend, Tully Blanchard. Spears would join The Pinnacle as a founding member feuding with members of the Inner Circle. Once The Pinnacle disbanded though Spears floated around the promotion making brief, sporadic appearances finally reverting back to his ‘Perfect 10’ persona when Dynamite aired from Toronto last year.
His last match was part of the Over Budget Charity Battle Royal during the Zero Hour (pre-show) for AEW All Out 2023. He never held a title of any sort in AEW but he did work behind the scenes as a coach.
Spears and fellow Canadian Tyler Breeze own the Flatbacks Wrestling School in Florida.
Spears is married to fellow wrestler Peyton Royce/Cassie Lee. They welcomed the birth of their first child Austin last year and are expecting their second son next year.
