NJPW World Tag League: TMDK remain at the top

Day 11 of the NJPW World Tag League narrowed the field in A Block. House of Torture, Ryohei Oiwa and Kaito Kiyomiya, and Shota Umino and Ren Narita were all mathematically eliminated, they joined the Gates of Agony who were eliminated on day 9.

At the top of the table, CHAOS and the Bullet Club War Dogs moved to 8 points to remain in a tie for second place, while TMDK won in the main event against Umino and Narita to get to 10 points and still sit in first place.

Haste and Umino started the match with technical wrestling and an exchange of holds. This continued until Haste hit an uppercut and dropkick, but Umino responded with a back elbow and sliding dropkick of his own. Narita and Nicholls were now tagged in and both men began trading stiff forearms, but Narita got the upper hand with a clothesline. He and Umino then worked together to each hit a senton and then double-elbow drop.

It seemed like Narita had control, but Haste distracted him from the outside of the ring and this allowed Nicholls to hit him from behind to the floor. Haste picked him up and dropped him with a side-suplex onto the ring apron before sending him back into the ring. Nicholls dropped a couple of knees onto Narita’s face before Haste came in to get a few double-teams in on him. TMDK was utilizing quick tags and they would take turns chopping the chest of Narita, Haste then began toying with Narita by kicking him. However, Narita finally got a reversal and hit a spinning heel-kick before tagging in Umino who came in like a firecracker.

Umino went right at Haste dropping him with a back-elbow before giving Nicholls a facebuster and sliding dropkick. He then was back focused on Haste and delivered a fisherman suplex, but his uranage was reversed and Haste hit a dropkick. Nicholls was tagged in only to run into a pop-up knee and an exploder suplex, Narita then tagged in to deliver a one-arm snap suplex before locking in a sleeper. From that hold, Narita threw Nicholls into Haste and then locked Nicholls back into an abdominal stretch.

The hold was eventually broken so Narita and Nicholls could have a great exchange. Narita hit a big boot, Nicholls responded with a clothesline, Narita dropped him with a German suplex and Nicholls popped back up to give Narita a Death Valley driver. Haste got tagged in and started with a flurry of uppercuts, but Narita ducked one and gave him an exploder suplex. Umino was now in to hit a shotgun dropkick followed by his springboard DDT onto the apron. He then delivered a diving dropkick to Haste’s skull, a slingshot cutter, an elevated reverse DDT and then locked in an STF.

At the same time, Narita got Nicholls in an abdominal stretch, but Nicholls broke that and threw Narita into Umino to break the STF. Umino was left in the ring with TMDK, but Narita pulled Nicholls to the floor and he got Haste back in the STF. This time Haste made it to the ropes, but Narita and Umino then attacked him with a flurry of strikes and hit a Hart Attack followed by a double exploder suplex. Umino then hit Haste with a twisting neck breaker and a half-nelson suplex, but he then went for a Hidden Blade and ran into a lariat.

Haste then dropped Umino with a Dynamic Bomb and Nicholls gave Narita a Blue Thunder Bomb. TMDK now worked together to hit Umino with Highway to Hell and they then finished him off with a Tankbuster to secure the victory.
