It’s Wednesday night and you know what that means? No, not to nominate yourself for Speaker of the House (What, are you nuts?!) It’s time for All Elite Wrestling, where we have MJF in the house against Juice Robinson in a Dynamite Diamond ring match, the dream match to end all dream matches:  Kazuchika Okada teaming with Orange Cassidy to take on The Blackpool Combat Club members Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli.

But first, a quick…

(Author’s Note:  Due to circumstances I should’ve planned better for, this is just going to be a down-and-dirty recap.  I’m gonna feed the big points into this mojo wire, and pray it comes out resembling English.  I just need a few raw facts, some good mezcal, and maybe we’ll all be better for it.)

Also, see George Tahinos’ photo gallery from the show!

We come to you from the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, PA. Excalibur, Taz, and Tony Schiavone have the call, and our First Match of the night is for the …

Dynamite Diamond Ring Match: MJF vs. Juice Robinson (with The Gunns)

Your Winners via Pinfall:  MJF

The Bang Bang Gang attacked after the match, and then The Kingdom tried to make the save with Roderick Strong directing traffic from his wheelchair, but it was all for naught.  It started to look bleak as Robinson came to and was winding up for the pitch, but The Acclaimed came to the rescue.

As Bullet Club Gold beat a retreat, but not before White taunted MJF that he will never claim the Triple B.  Then Austen challenged MJF for the ROH Tag Team belts at Full Gear, and MJF tells them he accepts.  He also challenges for a four-man tag match.  Roddy suggests taking his team, but he says no.  The Acclaimed offer their services, and he says no as well.

Now Omega appears for a match this Saturday on Collision.

There’s a vignette of Wardlow going to a dark place as he lay home with injuries those past four months. He hates MJF getting cheered on after he berated the company and the fans.  He promises to take everything from him.

I mean…color me interested in how this works out.  I hope it has legs.

Now for…

Rob Van Dam and Hook vs. The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds and John Silver)

Don’t get me wrong, the entrance music by both men is very cool.  This match, however?

And you thought you wouldn’t see a Haiku in Review™, eh?

*ahem*

Whole F’n Show and

Coldhearted Handsome Devil

Make a Five Star Splash.

Your Winners via Pinfall:  Rob Van Dam and Hook

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any weirder, it’s “Timeless” Toni Storm presenting Hold That Butler:

I give it two thumbs up.

Renee Paquette sat down to talk to Chris Jericho about his career and if he can beat a Powerhouse Hobbs.

Tony Schiavone brings Sting to the ring in front of the appreciative Philly crowd.  He thanks the fans and Darby Allin for being the greatest tag team partner he ever had.  He also thanks Tony Khan for grappling a little longer, and Schiavone mentions the special gift, and…

That’s right, The Nature Boy is back on the Superstation after who knows how many years.  After he and Sting exchange pleasantries, Christian Cage comes out with Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne in tow, and he invokes the Power of Douchenozzlery™ as he goes for the jugular on Flair.

He then turns to Allin and says he will never be a champion, much like the Phillies, and he challenges Sting in a six-man tag match and accepts his challenge at Full Gear.

Paquette talks with Adam Copeland backstage about Cage’s actions, and then Sting and Alling make an offer.

Now for the…

ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship Match: Adam Page and The Young Bucks(c) vs. The Hardys and Brother Zay

AEW Women’s World Title Match: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Ruby Soho

This was an intense match, but in the interest of time, here are the highlights:

Your Winner and Still AEW Women’s Champion:  Hikaru Shida

After the match, Toni Storm makes a grand entrance with her faithful butler Luther in tow.

Orange Cassidy and Kazuicha Okada vs. Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli

Your Winners via Pinfall:  Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli

After the match, the ring doctor is looking over Danielson who looks worse for wear, and that brings out the CHAOS members, Yuta, Moxley and there is a sense of confusion until Excalibur mentions that next week on Dynamite Castagnoli will challenge for the AEW International title as the show fades to black.
