Jade Cargill has publicly commented on her move from AEW to WWE.
As a guest on The Masked Man Show, Cargill discussed her decision to make the jump.
“I want to create a legacy. I want to be in the Hall of Fame. I want to wrestle with the best women in the world. There is no grander stage. The opportunities are endless with this company. It is a no-brainer. They were very welcoming. I didn’t have any second thoughts about it at all. It wasn’t easy but it was easy,” she said.
Of the WWE women at the top of Cargill’s list to wrestle are Nia Jax, Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair.
“Whoever wants it can come get it,” said a confident Cargill.
Cargill stated that she really wasn’t in AEW to “mingle”. It was business to her and then she would go back home to be with her family. Despite that, she said she will miss Ricky Starks, Billy Gunn, QT Marshall, Bryan Danielson, Dustin Rhodes and Mark Henry.
Cargill described her time in AEW as “preparation for the grand stage”.
“I felt like this was always the mission. I felt like the shoe fit. I felt like this was going to happen. Honestly, this was expected and I am excited to be there,” she said.
During his WrestleDream media call Tony Khan was asked about Cargill leaving AEW and said: “I have only positive things to say about Jade. It’s been great having her in AEW. She’s always welcome here. I think she’s had a great run with us and has a great career in front of her. We’re wishing her the best in the future.”
