Rest in peace, Terry Funk & Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt).

Three weeks ago, the Champion Alex Kane left a message for his challenger, Willie Mack, for when they will meet in the ring at Fury Road. Mack is just another victim to his long list of opponents that, according to Kane, will face the same punishment for even trying to go against him.

When it comes to Willie, he’s faced the harsh places since he was little. He knows the impact of hardship, average living and finding opportunity. So, after becoming the number one contender to face Alex Kane for that World Heavyweight Championship at Fury Road, that was the universe showing him that he is already worthy no matter what the champ says. Willie made it here.

Alex Hammerstone (c) vs. Alex Kane – World Heavyweight Championship match at Never Say Never

For those who haven’t seen the title match between Hammerstone and Kane, myself included, MLW decided to show the evident defeat of the previous champ.

We already know that Kane won, but dare I say, I got a little confused when I witnessed matches I’ve already seen or those that have past.

Kane was definitely Hammerstone’s most prominent advisory when it comes to his 16 title defenses in the last four years. Kane managed to plop Hammerstone on the mat to give him an edge as he brings in the big guns called suplexes.

The champ does counter very well, but it does deteriorate quite fast. That boot Kane harshly sends to Hammerstone’s jaw. Ouch.

The audience at the time were mostly behind Kane’s attempt to reign supreme in the end as the challenger strikes the champ down, enough momentum to cause noticeable pain.

Hammerstone missed two Midnight Pendulum moves since they were always interrupted by Kane’s resilience. Just as he was about to try for the third time, the champ changes his mind with a superplex.

Kane delivers a gut-wrench suplex from the second rope with amazing strength. That sent Hammerstone reeling.

The way Kane became the new Champion was by applying a choke and trapping Hammerstone in the middle of ring, so he’ll have nowhere to go as he taps out.

Winner: Alex Kane

Two weeks ago, Kane and Mr. Thomas were at a restaurant eating some healthy salad, which prompted the current champ to insult Willie Mack’s way of eating. Because of that, he’ll lose sooner than he thinks.

Mack responds that Kane had everything handed to him. The financial backing isn’t something everyone can get like himself. Regardless, Willie is confident that he will stack Kane up and become the new Champion.

John Hennigan vs. Willie Mack vs. Lio Rush – Triple Treat match from a few weeks ago

Rush and Hennigan were so afraid to face Mack that they rolled away. Remember that? Arguing amongst themselves as to who should fight Willie first. They felt threatened. That shows that Willie isn’t a game to toy with, he will beat you down.

Willie’s power to send Hennigan crashing into Lio, then powerslamming John on the mat is proof of that. He bulldozed Lio afterwards.

Mack sends a thunderous elbow to Lio’s jaw that it rings across the entire stadium. My teeth clenched just like before.

This fight really became a Handicap match instead given how Rush and Hennigan kept going at Willie as a momentary duo that bursts whenever its convenient.

Willie delivers three agonizing chops to Hennigan after being cornered by his opponents earlier.

The way Willie won this match was by letting Hennigan accidently get rid of Sam Adonis then rolled him up quick for a winning cover. I think that Willie shouldn’t be underestimated by the champ because that could be his biggest mistake. Just like how Kane was Hammerstone’s most promising foe, so is Willie to Kane.

Winner: Willie Mack
