The death of “Exotic” Adrian Street on July 31, 2023, resonated throughout the professional wrestling world, with many taking to social media to share their memories of the Welsh star.

Joe Coffey, Twitter @Joe_Coffey: “My physique, Adrian Street. A pioneer, an original and a trailblazer. Rest well.”

Triple H, Twitter: A genre-bending pioneer whose larger-than-life presence and ruthlessness between the ropes changed the wrestling world forever. Honored to have called Adrian Street a friend. My thoughts are with Miss Linda and the family, friends and fans of Adrian Street.

William Regal, Twitter: I’m deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my friend and truly a one off talent Adrian Street. My deepest condolences to Linda and Adrian’s family. Rest well.

“Outlaw” JD McKay on Facebook: “One night after wrestling on a card in Louisville he and his wife Miss Linda and Tom Prichard all went to Pizza Hut with me and then wife Lynn. What a blast (he loved parmesan cheese) …then it was decided they would come stay the night at our house rather than staying at a motel. Showed Adrian my collection of wrestling magazines and tapes. He was enthralled with any that had stories and them. Truly a great memory. Saw them a few times afterwards. Most recently at the GCWR events in Mobile when they were ongoing. Street is yet another true legend in a business where that term is thrown around rather frivolously….rest in peace sir. And thank you for the entertainment and memories.”

Nick Aldis, Twitter: “A truly remarkable man. What a life.”

Jason Sanderson, Facebook: “Today I learned of the passing of a dear friend, Exotic Adrian Street. I had the pleasure of performing his actual marriage ceremony to his beloved Miss Linda, at the Cauliflower Alley Club’s 40th reunion. This began a long friendship. We would look forward to meeting at the CAC and at the Gulf Coast Wrestler’s Reunions, his dry (and sometimes irreverent!) humor is one of the things I loved about him. A self-proclaimed atheist, he delighted in being able to say he had a bishop for a friend and a brother and did tell me that, while his views hadn’t changed, I did give him a lot to think about. We lost a bit of touch after he moved back to Wales. He was a great source of history of wrestling, both here in the US and over in the UK…and delighted in sharing some of the ‘back stairs’ stories (which he pledged me to secrecy on!). The world is far less colorful now, like a glorious sunset fading behind the mountains. While I miss the light, I remember the Day. RIP my brother! 😢”

“Golden Boy” Greg Anthony on Facebook: “Saddened to hear of the passing of “The Exotic” Adrian Street. He was very influential to the sport of professional wrestling. I use him as a teaching tool to our students. How he could prance around at the beginning of the match with pink tights, makeup on and his hair in bows but he could also look like that and then be the most vicious guy on the card. God Bless and rest in Peace.”
