BOSJ Night Six: Wato sends Eagles south

There was another Best of the Super Jr, 3o card today, marking the sixth night of the tournament. Some of the matches today included Mike Bailey versus Douki, Lio Rush versus Titán and the main event was Master Wato going against Robbie Eagles.

Eagles wasted no time to start this match, as he went right for a knee bar off the opening bell. Both men were then going back and forth with the reversals, and they were looking for the same moves at the exact same time. Wato was able to hit a bulldog, and then on the outside of the ring Eagles arm dragged Wato back first onto the concrete.

Eagles then landed a running tope through the middle rope onto Wato on the floor. He followed that with a running kick to the jaw back in the ring and then locked Wato into a knee bar. Wato’s knee was now the focus of Eagles as he wrapped his leg in the ropes before kicking him directly in the knee.

Wato then luckily reversed a kick and hit Eagles with a neck breaker, followed by a springboard European uppercut. Eagles rolled to the outside and Wato came running hitting him with a tope con hilo. Wato brought him back into the ring and hit a missile dropkick, which he followed with Recientemente.

Eagles was then locked into Vendaval, but he somehow found his way to the ropes to break the submission. The momentum was now shifting, Eagles hit 619 to Wato’s knee and then a running double knee strike. Eagles then hit a springboard dropkick to Wato’s knee and then locked him into the Ron Miller special, but Wato reached the ropes.

Following a couple of kicks, both men were out cold on the mat and they got up to exchange forearms. Eagles won the strike exchange after a big roundhouse kick and then hit a flipping DDT, but Wato came right back hitting Eagles with a Tenzan Tombstone. Wato then went to the top rope, but Eagles met him up there and hit an avalanche hurricanrana.

With Wato now down Eagles went back to the top rope and went for a 450 splash, but Wato got his knees up. Wato then hit a spinning kick and rolled Eagles off the ropes to hit the Tsutenkaku German to get the victory!

Luckily for Ishimori he broke the hold and made it back to the ring, which made Sho angry with Evil. Sho and Evil were now facing off and Sho threw his House of Torture shirt into the face of Evil, so later in the match Evil tripped Sho up and joined the corner of Ishimori. This was all a work as Evil then distracted Ishimori by throwing in the white towel, the distraction allowed Sho to steal a roll-up win.
