Mike Bieszck, better known as “Piss Jug Mike,” has died after a short battle with cancer.
“Piss Jug Mike” was from Detroit, Michigan and became a famous fan in a number of promotions. However, he grew to become more than just a fan and actually developed a great relationship with a number of wrestlers, including Malcolm Monroe II.
“Years ago I broke the unwritten rule in wrestling, NEVER GET CLOSE TO FANS. Mike use to come to XICW and one show I was in a bad mood and he was heckling me,” Monroe II wrote in a Facebook post. “I slapped him so hard that I busted his ear drum. From that day forward he became my son. He was not just a fan to me. I knew him before “Piss Jug Mike” was made.”
Bieszck got the ‘Piss Jug’ nickname because he was not seen without his signature jug of tea that happened to look exactly like piss. “When we travelled he use to bring 3 or 4 gallons of that tea with us and I use to say, Bro, it looks like you drinking piss,” Monroe II wrote.
Game Changer Wrestling also posted about the loss of “Piss Jug Mike.” He was seen all the time at GCW events and a number of their talent posted about him like Joey Janela, Bam Sullivan, and Nick Wayne.
Former GCW Champion, Matt Cardona, posted just yesterday that he chatted with Mike and he told him he did not have long to live. He asked the fans to keep Mike in their prayers and today he shared a post about the loss of his friend.
That picture Cardona posted was one of the most iconic of “Piss Jug Mike” in existence and it shows the type of fan he was. Another wrestling fan and collector, Jon Rutter, wrote about Mike, “On the wrestling side, Mike would travel for what he loved to see. Mike would promote what he loved and promote the talent he loved and wanted to see. Mike loved being right there, chanting, cheering and enjoying what he was watching. Mike made everyone at the show enjoy the show even more just because he was there.”
Monroe II may have been the closest with “Piss Jug Mike,” as he shared on Facebook about all the travelling they did together. “We went to Vegas 2x(drove once), drove to Myrtle Beach, and Florida for my birthday and even swam with sting rays and sharks in the Dominican. He was even gonna give me a strip tease dance for my birthday at my party but I refused. Now I would do anything to get that lap dance. The past couple of years we been talking about going to Hawaii and we decided we was gonna go for my 50th birthday next year. Guess we not now.”
Rachael Green, of Horror Slam, posted that they will be selling “Piss Jug Mike” shirts and 100% of the proceeds will be given to Mike’s sister, Susan. Horror Slam will also be holding a show on April 7 in honor of Mike, his family will be in attendance and there will be a donation bucket for the family to help with medical bills and other expenses.
They will also be reserving a front-row seat at every Horror Slam show from now on to keep the memory of “Piss Jug Mike” alive as one of the most iconic fans in wrestling.
