The U.S. Sun is reporting that the WWE is thinking of bringing Vince McMahon back for him to bid the WWE universe a proper farewell.

The goodbye could be part of a major angle at WrestleMania at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 1 and 2 next year and he could be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame that weekend as well.

A unnamed source told the publication: “Vince may not be completely done with the WWE. There are discussions about how to pay tribute to his achievements of turning the small town wrestling biz into a global business venture.”

The ‘insider’ also said: “Fans may not have always liked the way he handled storylines and treated some talent, but his efforts to take the sport to the world cannot be underestimated. His departure was pretty unceremonious in terms of the business behind the scenes, but the sport is about fans. And as controversial as it may seem, there are fans who feel he deserves a send off.”

The source claims that the WWE wants to bid their time before honoring McMahon for fear of the backlash they would receive from some fans and the media.

Rumours have been circulating that McMahon could be back for WrestleMania in an angle that would see him battle HHH and Stephanie McMahon for ultimate control of the company in some fashion, although McMahon would not be returning to in-ring action.

Several scandals, including the $14.6 million hush money controversy, have forced McMahon is step down from his positions with the company although he still is a majority shareholder.
