The WWE has announced that the NXT brand will grow with the creation of NXT Europe. The brand is set to launch in 2023.
As part of the transition phase for the new brand NXT UK will be folded into NXT Europe.
“NXT UK will end in its current form and serve as the foundation for a bigger, better NXT Europe,” the WWE told Slam Wrestling in a statement.
Prior to the debut of NXT Europe, the WWE will air a Worlds Collide event which will feature NXT and NXT UK Superstars.
It will air live on Sunday, September 4 at 4 p.m. ET on the WWE Network.
“Following the success of our live events and talent identification efforts throughout all of Europe we believe this is the perfect time to expand NXT beyond the UK,” said Shawn Michaels, WWE Vice President of Talent Development Creative.
