Jonah, who pulled off a convincing and career-defining win against Kazuchika Okada on night 13 of the G1 Climax tournament, was on the losing end tonight.
Lance Archer, who towered over him, dared Jonah to trade forearm smashes with him in the middle of the ring during the start of their match.
“You want to do this? You want to do something other than all this flipping and flopping crazy s–t?” asked Archer.
“Let’s fight!” growled Jonah.
“Then, f—–g hit me!” Archer dared.
The two behemoths batter each other for over a minute and a half trading approximately 65 shots. Jonah breaks things up with a DDT. Archer demands more damage as Jonah wails on The Murderhawk Monster. Archer gets to his feet but a headbutt puts him back on the ground. Jonah backs Archer into a corner peppering him with shots. Kevin Kelly compares Jonah to Bam Bam Bigelow and Jerry ‘Crusher’ Blackwell.
Archer absorbs a splash in a corner to clothesline Jonah in the back of the head. Archer drills Jonah with running elbow after running elbow in a corner. Archer tries to pick up Jonah and slam him but it is Jonah who reverses things and slams Archer. Archer ends a slugfest with a big slam for a two count. Jonah fights off Archer’s claw. A pounce from Archer knocks Jonah into the ropes. He bounces back with a body splash. Both men go down.
Jonah climbs to the top rope. Archer crotches him. Archer hoists Jonah off the ropes for Blackout. Jonah fights out of it. Jonah smashes Archer with a Black Forest Bomb.
“Holy s–t!” cries El Phantasmo on commentary.
Jonah runs of the apron bowling Archer over with a shoulder tackle. Archer whips Jonah into the ringside barricade so hard it is sent back with such force it knocks over the time keeper’s table. Archer attempts a cannonball but Jonah’s partner, Bad Dude Tito, dives in the way taking the brunt of the attack. Archers slides back into the ring. Jonah jumps on the apron trying to beat the count. Archer knocks him off the apron and into the barricade. Jonah is counted out.
