Nobody can beat IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, Jay White. In the G1 so far he has defeated everyone and anyone who has been put before him: Ishii, Sanada, Chase Owens and finally tonight, The Great-O-Khan. Only Taichi and Tama Tonga are the only obstacles to him having an undefeated record in Block B. White countered The Eliminator with The Blade Runner to defeat Khan.
Tonight’s match against Toru Yano also proved why Lance Archer needs to come back to NJPW and leave AEW. He has a better reaction, is booked better and does so much better there.
Archer holds the ropes open for Yano. Yano ignores him. Archer start undoing the turnbuckles so Yano cannot. Yano slaps him in the back of the head.
“There is a reason why Lance Archer cannot find match in AEW,” says Kevin Kelly and he is right. AEW is underutilizing Archer.
Archer whips Yano into the ringside barrier. Archer pulls a Yano and tapes Yano’s wrist to the barrier. Yano pulls scissors out of his boots and cuts himself loose. Yano whacks Archer with a turnbuckle pad. Archer leaps off the apron but Yano pulls a Young Lion the way. With both of them knocked out Yano tapes Archer to the Young Lion. Archer pulls the Young Lion through the ringside barrier and pushes him back into the ring so they can both beat the count. Archer drags the Young Lion to his feet so they can double clothesline Yano. Archer untapes himself from the Young Lion and slams him on Yano.
“You are going to pay for making me almost lose this match!” yells Archer chokeslamming the Young Lion.
Yano makes a mistake by climbing to the top rope. He gets Blackhole slammed and pinned by Archer.
