Countdown to AEW’s Full Gear 2021

 If this was several months ago when Page had a good deal of momentum behind him he might be the one to dethrone Omega.  However, things are very different now and if anyone is going to beat Omega for the AEW World Title it will be Brian Danielson or CM Punk.

AEW is in a very tight spot. Hangman has fought so long and so hard as a fan favoruite it would be brutal if he lost. At the same time, Omega has been an outstanding champion with so many outstanding matches. What do they do? I think the will give Hangman his run but Kenny will take the belt back sooner rather than later.​ Winner: Hangman Adam Page

Tay Conti has showed some promise as a challenger for Dr. Britt Baker’s AEW Women’s World Title.  However, it is almost certain that Rebel and Hayter will interfere at a crucial moment and allow Baker to walk out of Full Gear with her championship intact.

There is no way AEW is derailing Baker’s run for anything. Thunder Rosa will probably be the one to dethrone her. Tay Conti has a ways to go before she is crowned AEW Women’s World Champion. Winner: Britt Baker DMD.

This match will probably break down pretty quickly with The Inner Circle taking advantage of the chaos to score the pinfall.

The Inner Circle gets their revenge here but I cannot see this feud ending this soon. For me, the whole back and forth has been gold for every superstar involved. Winners: The Inner Circle

Honestly the AEW Tag Team Titles should have been put on FTR long ago.  They elevate everyone they are in the ring with and the smart decision would be for them to win at Full Gear.

Two of the very best tag teams in the world and seeing them clash is worth the price of admission alone This could go either way. I am guessing though that FTR is going to pull a fast one and walk out of Full Gear as the champions. Winners: FTR

Traditional booking would be for Darby Allin to get his revenge at Full Gear.  However, having MJF win would help build him up as an even bigger heel in the company and move him towards the AEW World Title.  So despite what the fans may want look for MJF to succeed on this night.

The very best of AEW’s young talent and the future of the company. The angle on the back burner is MJF being deserving of a title shot here so he will beat Allin but just barely. Winner: MJF

 The predictable choice would be for Danielson to win to setup the title match with Omega.  Yet, there is a part of me that would find it really intriguing if instead it was Miro winning as a match between them would be a fun David versus Goliath contest.  For this one I’ll go with the upset and say Miro gets the victory and moves on to face Omega.

So continues Bryan Danielson’s build to becoming the AEW World Heavyweight Champion. He will be battered and bruised but he will get by Miro. Winner: Bryan Danielson.

This is in many ways the first true feud CM Punk has had since joining the company and the build has been very good.  Everyone expects CM Punk to win, but to keep this program going it needs to be Eddie Kingston winning at Full Gear.

I have no idea who to pull for. This is like asking me to pick between peanut butter and chocolate. I think both men will ending up shaking hands when it is all over. How do we get there though? I would assume Punk gets the win, however, he apologizes to Kingston sayng he took him to the limit and he is a main event star. Winner: CM Punk

Christian Cage and the Jurassic Express should pick up the duke here.

Even with Christian Cage behind them, it won’t be enough for the Jurassic Express to come out on top. Adam Cole and Christian will feud on and on from here.. Winners: The Superkliq

I’ve got to go with the faces on this one as it appears that Rosa may be the person to dethrone Baker whenever they decide to cool DMD down. Winners: Hikaru Shida and Thunder Rosa

This will be one of the highlights of the show. Look for the heels to come out on top and perhaps Cody to swerve everyone. Winners: Malakai Black and Andrade El Idolo.
