MSG bans unvaccinated from Smackdown Live show

In an another twist in our ever-changing world, Madison Square Garden has made a special announcement today involving the WWE’s return there in September.

If you are 16 or older and haven’t been fully vaccinated, you cannot attend the show.

Guests will need to be fully vaccinated for WWE’s Friday Night SmackDown at The Garden, meaning the event must be at least 14 days after your final vaccine dose. The only exception is for children under the age of 16, who may provide proof of a negative antigen or PCR COVID-19 test or full vaccination and are accompanied by a vaccinated adult,” stated the venue in a public announcement.

The venue goes even further in the matter stating:

The show takes place on Friday, September 12th and is scheduled to be an edition of Smackdown Live.

The superstars slated to be on the card include: Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair, Rey and Dominik Mysterio, Apollo Crews, Edge, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Seth Rollins, Big E and Kevin Owens.

MSG’s stand on the issue isn’t much different than other venues in New York City.

In one case, the St James Theatre announced in June that anyone attending Springsteen on Broadway has to have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
