Countdown to WrestleMania 2021: Night Two

Daniel Bryan: +200 . Edge: +115. Roman Reigns: +150 . Winner: Daniel Bryan.

Everything changed when Daniel Bryan became part of the title picture. They should have added him a long time ago though so they could really push the competing comeback storylines between Edge and Bryan. Winner: Edge.

This is the hardest match at WrestleMania to make a prediction for.  You have Edge and Reigns both of which have been wrestling sporadically over the last couple months and Daniel Bryan who recently announced he was approaching the end of his being a regular full-time wrestler with WWE.  So who comes out of WrestleMania with the Universal Championship?  While the feel good story would be for Bryan to win there isn’t the kind of momentum there was heading into WrestleMania 30.  Thus with the rumours of a future match against The Rock refusing to to die down look for Reigns to retain his championship.

If they brought Daniel Bryan into this one just to have him lose, I think that would be a disservice. But having Edge lose would be a downer in terms of not ending his two-year comeback story with a happy ending. And those things are exactly what I think happens. Roman is the best thing going these days, and they shouldn’t end his run now. Winner: Roman Reigns

With the Undertaker retired, look for Edge to fill the living legend spot – part of that involves him becoming a lot more aggressive and diabolical, and he’ll display that en route to winning the championship. Winner: Edge

I would love to support a fellow Canadian however, Daniel Bryan deserves this moment. Winner: Daniel Bryan 

Rhea Ripley: -300. Asuka: +200. Winner: Rhea Ripley.

Just like Smackdown and Belair, Raw needs some new blood. The WWE really needs to start moving in new superstar and moving out older superstars as far as the women’s division is concerned. Winner: Rhea Ripley.

Ripley losing to Charlotte Flair last year at WrestleMania was a mistake.  Look for that to be rectified here with her triumphing over Asuka to become the new RAW Women’s Champion.

The future of the women’s division starts on Sunday with a big win by Rhea Ripley. I think she has a lengthy reign, dominating everyone, setting up a dream match between her and Ronda Rousey next year. With all those R’s, it’s a shame the pirate theme is happening this year. Winner: Rhea Ripley

Rhea has dominated the NXT women’s division, and her momentum is going to continue rolling along. Winner: Rhea Ripley

The Fiend: -950. Randy Orton: +500 Winner: The Fiend.

There is no way in heck that the Fiend is going to go through all that he has to lose to Randy Orton at WrestleMania. Perhaps The Fiend will also go be resurrected and go back to his old look without the irritating Alexa Bliss acting as his mouthpiece. Winner: The Fiend.

The logical conclusion of this storyline is The Fiend destroying Orton at WrestleMania.  Anything else would mean all the months of buildup were a complete waste of time.  Could WWE Creative do something really foolish by having Orton get the victory at WrestleMania?  Yes.  After all they have shown such errors in judgment before.

With the live crowd in attendance, it’s going to be tough to make this a cinematic match or to use the special effects and gimmicks that will be needed to make this one watchable. Winner: The Fiend

I don’t know how they’ll do it, but I see Randy Orton joining up with The Fiend after this one. Winner: The Fiend

The Fiend wins, via arson.

Big E: -120. Apollo Crews: -120. Winner: Even Odds.

Another really tough match to predict as there are valid reasons either could come out the winner. The way to push their storyline further though would be to have Apollo win and Big E have to chase him to SummerSlam. Winner: Apollo Crews.

It may be time to move Big E into the Universal Title picture.  If so look for him to lose the Intercontinental Championship to Crews at WrestleMania.

The question here is who they think is the bigger star. Despite the repackaging of Apollo, somebody high up seems to have a soft spot for Big E (notwithstanding they won’t let him have a last name), which is why he gets the win. Winner: Big E

Since the Nigerian Drum match is Apollo’s stipulation, he has the advantage. Winner: Apollo Crews

Kevin Owens: -200. Sami Zayn: +150. Winner: Kevin Owens.

Anyone could take this but Zayn would be the perfect fall guy. This could be a great end to the whole conspiracy angle as well, which has worn out its welcome a long time ago. Winner: Kevin Owens.

This is actually a match that could go either way.  However, it will likely be Owens winning with Zayn claiming another conspiracy theory led to his loss.

Some years ago, I wrote in one of these previews that if these two just exclusively wrestled each other, I wouldn’t have a problem with that. Because I think this one will be the match of the weekend, even with Logan Paul (who?) being involved. Sami will lose because it’s a conspiracy. Winner: Kevin Owens

This one is going to be stellar. Winner: Kevin Owens

Another tough one as Sheamus has really stepped up his game putting on some WrestleMania caliber matches with Drew McIntyre on Raw. Riddle is a big character and McMahon seems to love him for that so… Winner: Riddle.

Riddle will likely retain the US Title, but my preference would be Sheamus.

Here’s a riddle for you: does anyone care about either of these two? The answer is no. I didn’t say it was a funny riddle. Winner: Riddle

I see a big push coming for Riddle, starting with a win here. Winner: Riddle

Sheamus wins, and then renames it the Ire-continental Championship.

This will be a good match and a good win for Riddle. Winner: Riddle

Reginald comes between the champs and because of that, we have new champs.  Winners: Lana and Naomi.

As I predicted the Iiconics to reunite on Saturday, the only proper ending to that would be for them to recapture gold. Winners: The Iiconics
