How can you have tables, ladders and chairs with no blood? We aren’t sure but the WWE seems to do it every single year in their annual holiday miracle. Will the tables, ladders and chairs make a difference as Owens and Styles try to dethrone the champs in Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre? It looks like the odds would be against them but the Slam Wrestling brain trust has all of your TLC 2020 predictions and prognostications.

AJ would certainly open up more opportunities when it comes to challengers but one suspects McMahon is very high on Drew McIntyre at the present time. He couldn’t wait to put the belt back on him and start this whole Sheamus feud. Winner: Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre – 600. AJ Styles +350. Winner: Drew McIntyre

There has to be some temptation by Vince McMahon to place the WWE Title on AJ Styles in order to shake things up on Monday Night Raw. If it happens it may be due to Sheamus interference rather than The Miz having an unsuccessful cash-in of the Money in the Bank contract. Regardless look for a ton of wrestlers getting involved in the outcome of this one.

In a way, it’s unfortunate that the first match between these two has to be a big gimmick match. I would have liked a series of matches that built to a big spectacle. That said, this should be a fun one. With ratings plummeting this past week, I can see them trying to shake things up with a change of champion. Winner, and new champion: AJ Styles

Randy Orton put Bray Wyatt in a box and set it on fire. Let me say that again. Randy Orton put Bray Wyatt in a box and set it on fire. Ask The Undertaker. It wasn’t fun when Kane and Paul Bearer did that to him years back. Like Wyatt though, he lived to tell the tale. The Fiend will get his revenge at TLC for sure. Winner: Bray Wyatt.

Bray Wyatt: – 300. Randy Orton: +200. Winner: Bray Wyatt.

This match is not the end of this feud, but rather just the beginning. Things will be murky and unsettled without a conclusive winner to this bout. Instead it will either be a double count out or disqualification where the fate of both competitors won’t be known until the following night on Monday Night Raw.

They haven’t really provided much detail on what this match will be, so it’s not that easy to pick a winner. If this is done like a straight Inferno match, where you have to set the opponent on fire, then I think Orton wins, because it’s easier to light Bray on fire because of his shirt and long pants. If it ends up being a cinematic match, then it will be easier to torch Orton who wrestles in just trunks. I assume it will be the latter, and that Alexa Bliss will get involved somehow to help Bray get the win. Winner: Bray Wyatt

Why build Lana up just to nix her from the show? I don’t get it. What a waste of time. Charlotte Flair returns to start a whole new feud with Asuka starting with them winning the gold and eventually having a falling out. Winners: Asuka and Charlotte Flair.

While a return by Kairi Sane would be a great moment there are a few things that may be more likely to happen here: Asuka’s partner will be Lana showing up to tough it out; a returning Charlotte Flair will be announced as Asuka’s partner; or Dana Brooke will be named Asuka’s partner. Out of those three options I think it is likely Lana will show up and she and Asuka will defeat Jax and Baszler to take the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

I actually thought this would be the culmination of Jax’s feud with Lana, and it would end with Lana putting her through a table en-route to winning the titles. Not a fan of the change of plans, but I guess that Lana’s punishment for Rusev’s departure will continue. Jax and Baszler win this one. Winners: Jax and Baszler

It would be fantastic to see Kevin Owens carrying gold again considering how he has been stumbling around without much purpose but he will probably be just another superstar fed to the lion that is…Roman Reigns. Winner: Roman Reigns.
BetOnline.AG
Roman Reigns -2000. Kevin Owens: +650. Winner: Roman Reigns

As great as it would be to see Kevin Owens ascend to a 2nd Universal Title reign sadly it doesn’t seem likely to happen at TLC. In fact it is likely Reigns will hold onto the Universal Championship all the way to WrestleMania and possibly beyond.

If Owens doesn’t win here, then he sure looks like an idiot, having had his butt handed to him over and over and over again for the past couple of weeks. I think this one will continue, so look for Reigns to lose the match but keep the title. Winner, but NOT new champ: Kevin Owens

Got to keep building up Sasha’s current reign as her others have been short and not-so sweet. Winner: Sasha Banks
BetOnline.AG
Asuka +300. Sasha Banks -500. Winner: Sasha Banks
Matthew Byer

As much as I might prefer that Banks retains the SmackDown Women’s Championship WWE management just seems reluctant to give The Boss a lengthy singles title reign on the main roster. Plus Carmella has been pushed to the top of the card in the past so look for her to win her 2nd SmackDown Women’s Title at TLC.

It would be great if the Hurt Business claimed all of the gold on Raw just to really make them bad asses. The New Day though are a draw and Raw’s ratings are crap. Winners: The New Day

Hurt Business: -200. New Day: +150. Winners: New Day

The Hurt Business needs some more gold so look for them to be crowned the new Raw Tag Team Champions.
