We have our finalists for both World Tag League and the Best of the Super Juniors tournaments.
Either Juice Robinson & David Finlay or Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa or will be crowned the winners of NJPW’s World Tag League next Friday at the finals.
Although it was a three-way with the IWGP Tag Team Champions Taichi & Zack Sabre Jr. in the mix, the champs were ruled out of the finals because they had lost to both Juice Robinson & David Finlay or Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa during the tournament. The winners of World Tag League face the IWGP Tag Team Champions at Wrestle Kingdom.
Once Juice Robinson & David Finlay put themselves through to the finals by defeating Hirooki Goto & Yoshi-Hashi they were clobbered by Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa. Tonga ushered Robinson into Dreamland with a Gun Stun as Loa lowered the boom on Finlay. Tonga put Robinson in the Scorpion Deathlock as Loa put a Crossface on Finlay.
In the Best of the Super Juniors it will be El Desperado versus Hiromu Takahashi in the finals.
Once El Desperado had dispensed with Bushi, Hiromu Takahashi came down to the ring clapping.
“I am going to be able to get my revenge on you pretty soon and I get to do it at the Nippon Budokan!” said Takahashi to Desperado as they met face-to-face in the ring.
