For those who don’t know, In Your House was a series of monthly pay-per-views which the WWE used to offer at a lower cost. You know, a time when pay-per-views weren’t run every single month. For the most part, they were like spruced up editions of Raw but occasionally you would get a blockbuster match like The Undertaker versus Shawn Michaels in a Hell in a Cell. Is the idea worth celebrating? Probably not. We don’t celebrate Bad Blood, Taboo Tuesday or No Way Out (nWo, get it?) do we? What we do routinely celebrate is the phenomenal events the NXT brand stages and NXT In Your House should be no different.

Carrion Cross may be the future of NXT but he has yet to prove it. To be pushed as the next big thing he needs to notch a very impressive victory. Mowing down the tough as nails Ciampa will do that. Winner: Killer Cross.

Matthew Byer

Contribtor

It just seems like Ciampa would have been moved from NXT to RAW or Smackdown, but that it was pushed back because of the lack of fans at the various shows due to Covid-19.  So this one is a bit harder to pick a winner for which is why I’ll go for a double disqualification which lead to a rematch.

Betonline.ag

Tommaso Ciampa – +170. Karrion Cross: -250. Winner: Karrion Cross.

After the build-up they’ve given Kross for the past few weeks, it would be a backwards move to have him lose his first big match. The match ends in a double disqualification, and this feud continues.

Although this is hardly Ciampa playing the grizzled veteran helping pave the way for the young up-and-comer, it seems more sensible and likely at this point for Cross to continue building momentum with a solid win. Ciampa can survive a loss here in the long run, after all. Winner: Carrion Cross

This is an odd pairing to be sure. You would think Priest would be partnered with a Killian Dain or Dexter Loomis while Balor should be staring down Adam Cole. This is what we have to work with though. Balor is going to chop Priest down so he can forge ahead in NXT. Winner: Finn Balor.

This really depends on if Bálor comes out as the Demon or not.  If not Priest wins.

Betonline.ag

Finn Balor: +120. Damian Priest: -160. Winner: Damien Preist.

Bob Kapur

Finn wins.

Dave Hillhouse

Priest pays some dues, and Balor punches his time card with a win tonight before moving on to bigger and better things. Gosh, that’s felt like Balor’s potential story for the past few years. Winner: Finn Balor

Well, at least Gargano scrubbed that awful, grating Rebel Heart theme song. He and Candace are better off as heels. Their squeaky clean, boy and girl next door characters were as bland as white toast. This mixed feud though is a clever idea and appears to be a long-term deal. Gargano wins setting up a rematch, extending the feud. Keith Lee needs to be on the main roster and pushed to Alpha Centauri. He has it all…and then some. Winner: Johnny Gargano.

Gargano has had some good momentum behind him of late, but Keith Lee just seems so dominant as the NXT North American Champion.  Something has to give so I’ll predict Gargano wins by count out, but Lee retains his championship.

BetOnline.AG

Johnny Gargano: -160. Keith Lee: +120. Winner: Johnny Gargano.

Bob Kapur

I think they should book Lee like the NXT version of Brock Lesnar. He wins.

Dave Hillhouse

I call a resilient performance by Gargano with Lee pulling off a slightly sneaky victory that allows Gargano to grumble about something afterwards. Winner: Keith Lee

Gosh. Another cinematic match. Why not just let them brawl live? I don’t get it. Adam Cole’s contract being up in the air sure brings some added drama to this match. Cole keeps the strap as whomever defeats him has to do so in front of a live crowd. Winner: Adam Cole.

Normally when the stipulation for the challenger is this is their last chance to challenge for the title 9 times out of 10 they win.  Otherwise the whole chase for the championship was for naught.  Yet there is this nagging doubt that Cole will drop the NXT Championship despite the ongoing rumours of him leaving WWE for AEW.  Thus, that why I’ll go with Adam Cole retaining despite the smart money being on The Velveteen Dream winning the strap.

BetOnline.AG

Adam Cole: -300. Velveteen Dream: +200. Winner: Adam Cole.

I expect that the loser will get called up to the main roster after next weekend’s Backlash PPV. I can’t see them separating the Undisputed Era quite yet, so look for Dream to take the loss.

Dave Hillhouse

A top-tier title change in this type of match, in these times, seems preposterous. So, that’s what will happen. Winner: Velveteen Dream

This could just steal the entire show based on the caliber of talent in that ring. The entire experiment with Charlotte has been a failure. She is not a ratings draw. It is time to take the belt off her. Ripley deserves it for how far she has come in such a short period of time. Winner: Rhea Ripley.

MATTHEW BYER

Based on the ratings war between NXT and AEW putting the NXT Women’s Championship on Charlotte Flair to boost NXT viewership hasn’t worked out quite as planned.  There are several theories as to why, but one factor has to be that many of Flair’s matches in NXT since capturing the championship at WrestleMania haven’t been all that competitive.  As such the expectation would be for Flair to drop the NXT Women’s Championship to Rhea Ripley or Io Shirai.  However, even when something hasn’t worked out as planned Vince McMahon has shown a history of stubbornness and so that’s why I expect Flair to retain her title.

BETONLINE.AG

Charlotte Flair: +115. Io Shirai: -150. Rhea Ripley: +200. Winner: Io Shirai.

Bob Kapur

Senior Editor

They seem to want Charlotte to be forever on top and appear on every show. I’m, frankly, bored of her, but there’s no denying her star power. She retains, but sets up what should be a good singles feud with Io.

Dave Hillhouse

Hollywood Headlock Editor

It’s hard to see a logical storyline for a title change here. If Ripley wins, why now and not at WrestleMania? If Shirai can topple Flair, then where does that place Ripley in the pecking order? Trust me when I say this is a vote for what I think will happen, not what I’d want to happen. Winner: Charlotte Flair

Here is a Pearl Six brawl if there ever was one. Things will break down pretty fast. Mia Yim, Tegan Nox and Shotzi Blackheart are victorious getting one over on the heels. NXT needs more of all three of these women, preferably in Blackheart’s tank. Winners: Mia Yim, Tegan Nox and Shotzi Blackheart.

MATTHEW BYER

Candice LeRae has made a very successful heel turn and that’s why she and Dakota Kai and Raquel González will be picking up the win.

BETONLINE.AG

Mia Yim & Shotzi Blackheart & Tegan Nox: -200. Candice LeRae & Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez: +150. Winners: Mia Yim & Shotzi Blackheart & Tegan Nox.

Bob Kapur

Remember when the women of NXT were the best thing about the show? Seems like a long time ago. Yim and company get the win.

Dave Hillhouse

Hollywood Headlock Editor

In what will likely be a messy match the heels prevail. LeRae scores a pinfall on Yim while everyone else is busy brawling on the floor. Winners: LeRae, Kai, Gonzalez
