There is no WWE 2K this year but there is WWE 2K Battlegrounds.
2K announced today they are working on WWE 2K Battlegrounds, which appears to mirror THQ’s WWE All-Stars which was released in 2011.
We reviewed All-Stars at the time.
“WWE 2K Battlegrounds is a full-fledged console experience. Stay tuned for more details!” a 2K spokesperson confirmed to SLAM! Wrestling.
Saber Interactive is developing the game for 2K. The studio has been around since 2003 and they are best known for such games as Inversion, Quake Champions, NBA Playgrounds, World War Z and Killing Floor 2.
“Whether you’re a casual gamer just learning the ropes or a passionate fan ready for all the action, WWE 2K Battlegrounds provides another way to enjoy WWE video game action,” said 2K in a statement.
WWE 2K Battlegrounds will drop this fall.
