Evil and Sanada beat one of NJPW’s most successful tag teams in Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Satoshi Kojima to claim the top spot heading into Sunday’s finale. Evil survived a Kojima lariat to pin him with Everything is Evil.
Evil and Sanada have only lost one match in the entire tournament and if they score a win or draw at the finale against FinJuice, they win World Tag League for the third year in a row.
The teams of Juice Robinson and David Finlay, Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa sit in second place waiting in the wings to possibly steal a victory.
The winners of World Tag League will face the IWGP Tag Team Champions – Guerrillas of Destiny (Tanga Loa and Tama Tonga) – at Wrestle Kingdom.
