David Benoit considering AEW

The son of former wrestler Chris Benoit is contemplating following in his father’s footsteps.

David Benoit is Benoit’s son from his first marriage.

Benoit, 28, told the Pro and Bro Wrestling Podcast with Fred Rosser that he had been “messing around” with some of the AEW talent in the ring.

He also expressed his fondness for the company as a whole.

“I want to go to AEW 100 percent. I love AEW. I love what they do for the boys. They take care of them,” he said.

Benoit was supposed to debut in 2014 Hart Legacy Event in Canada against Chavo Guerrero Jr. but his first match was halted by family friend Chris Jericho who believed he needed more training with former superstar Lance Storm.
