Bullet Club continues to fracture at Honor Rising

The New Japan Pro Wrestling show Honor Rising, where the promotion teams with Ring of Honor, saw feud among Bullet Club members escalate between Kenny Omega and Cody, and a new feud begin between Hangman Page and Cody. It is unknown where Marty Scurll’s allegiance is in Bullet Club.

Scurll was part of a six-men tag team match and was hesitant to deliver high impact moves to Omega such as diving over the rope onto him and doing the finger snapping move. However, Cody yelled at Scurll to perform the moves, which he reluctantly complied with. Cody announced himself as the leader of Bullet Club, and Hangman Page took exception to that statement.

Honor rising came to us from Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Ryusuke Taguchi, Jay Lethal, and Dalton Castle vs. Chuckie T, Beretta, and Jay White

Taguchi started the match by eating chicken fingers and sharing them with Lethal and Castle but did not bring enough for Chuckie T, Beretta, and White. The match started slowly with Castle and Beretta grappling against each other. This grappling was nice to see after watching the previous match that was very fast paced.

When the match returned to the ring, Goto was able to shift the momentum and delivered a series of hit impact moves. Goto attempted the PK but Bruiser caught the leg to reverse the move and got a series of near falls. Goto hit the GTR for the three count.

Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, and Chase Owens vs. Marty Scurll, Hangman Page, and Cody

Scurll came to the ring dressed all in white with his hair dyed white. Scurll applauded when Owens entered the ring. The crowd exploded and chanted “this is awesome” when the golden lovers (Omega and Ibushi) came down the aisle. Page and Ibushi started off the match with a strong lock up. Before Omega could tag in, Owens tagged himself in. However, Owens and Omega tagged in frequently and worked over Page.

The first tag between Omega and Ibushi was denied by Cody who pushed him off the ring apron. Scurll reluctantly wrestled Omega since both were recently partners in the Bullet Club. Cody screamed at Scurll to break Omega’s fingers but Scurll refused and was attacked by Ibushi.

Owens got worked over by Scurll, Page, and Cody. Scurll showed some hesitation about working over Owens and Omega. Cody ordered Scurll to kick Owens’ in the face, which Scurll reluctantly complied with. Owens attempted to make a tag, which Cody cut off and got heat from the crowd. Eventually Owens got the hot tag and the golden lovers performed a series of high flying moves. Chants of “golden lovers” broke out as they dominated over Scurll, Page, and Cody. Page hit the rite of passage on Owens for the win.

Cody and Omega brawled after the bell. The Young Bucks broke both men up and they walked their separate ways. Cody got booed when he grabbed the microphone and said that he is the face of Ring of Honor. “You are either team Kenny or you are team Cody. Bullet Club is mine.”

Cody returned to the back where Page was waiting and yelled at Cody for taking away from the victory since Cody was the one who grabbed the microphone.
