D’Lo Brown announces departure from TNA

Another talent has come out to announce his departure from TNA.  Just one day after DOC announced via Twitter that his contract was not renewed, fellow Aces and 8’s alumnae D’Lo Brown took to the same social medium to clear the air on word spreading that he was gone from the company as well.

“I guess it’s time to address the rumors surrounding me over the last few days. It is true that my employment with TNA has come to an end,” Brown said. “I consider myself fortunate to have worked so closely with some of the best up and coming talent in the business. I also had the privilege to work closely with some of the greatest this industry has produced.

“I can tell you this for sure I will miss sharing a locker room with some of the most genuine men and women (you know who you are) that I have ever been around,” he continued. I want to say thank you to the many fans that have shown support for me over the years. I will keep everyone updated on what my future plans are.”

This was Brown’s second tenure with TNA. Born Accie Julius Connor, Brown first caught on with the WWF/WWE in 1997 following a stint in developmental. He would win multiple championships in the company before coming to TNA in 2003. During a two-year stint with the company, Brown would capture the Tag Team Championships once with Gran Apolo and feud with one-time partner AJ Styles.

Brown would travel the indie scene for a few years after leaving TNA in 2004 before coming back to WWE in 2008. In 2009, he returned to TNA as a road agent, only later to come on screen again as a member of the Aces and 8’s.

Brown’s departure comes after he had, on screen, been kicked out of Aces and 8’s.
