Tor Kamata dead at 70

Legendary Stampede Wrestling villain Tor Kamata has died in Saskatoon. He was 70.

Kamata, born McRonald Kamaka, had battled heart disease for almost a decade.

He died July 23, 2007, at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 30, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1725 McKercher Dr., Saskatoon. Funeral arrangements are in care of Martens Warman Funeral Home.

Kamata owned a restaurant for a while in Saskatoon and a shiatsu therapy business. He’d previously run Tor’s Teriyaki restaurant in Calgary.
