This NWA Powerrr is still taking off like a Comet after a strong debut on their new TV home, and there is still more action in the National Wrestling Alliance.
We continue with Crockett Cup action in the quarterfinals, as Jack Talos and Ren Ayabe are still making history as the number sixteen seed as The Titans of Calamity, but face a tough test in Thom Latimer and El Nihan Dragón. Plus, the Good Brothers will square up against The Slimeballz, and there is a Burke Invitational where the women’s division will be ready to see who will be the next contender to face the current NWA Women’s Champion, Natalia Markova.
We come to you from The OC Theatre in Forney, TX. Joe Galli and Tim Storm have the call. Joining alongside is Da Pope, and they discuss the matches that will take place this evening.

We kick things off with Your First Match of the Night, which is a…

Crockett Cup Quarterfinal Match: The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows and “Machine Gun” Karl Anderson)(No. 2 seed) vs. The SlimeBallz (Sage Chantz and Tommy Rant, with Aron Stevens) (No. 10 Seed)
At this point, I do want to give an…
(Author’s Note: I was indisposed at the time this match happened, as I was busy interviewing Trevor Murdoch on the events of his match with Pretty Boy Smooth. Photo will be scant, but follow along with the action all the same.)
This is truly a contrast of styles, and Anderson and Gallows are somewhat bemused by the antics of Chantz and Rant, with Aron Stevens trying in vain to rein in his NWA US Tag champions.
Rant and Anderson start, and he spits in his hand and offers it in sportsmanship. Anderson has no need for it, so he just chops him.

He and Gallows work him over in the corner, as Rant tries to fight his way out and gets a tag to Chantz. It’s still more of the same from The Good Brothers, and Gallows gives him a delayed vertical suplex. Back to Anderson and the Slimeballz counter, and Rant is powering through the Machine Gun. They’re getting dirty in Slimeball City, but Anderson dumps out Rant, and Gallows comes in with a head full of steam and gives Chantz a roundhouse kick.

A boot to Rant, and The Good Brothers with a neckbreaker assist for a two count. One Magic Killer to Chantz, and they advance, which is Too Sweet.
Your Winners and Advancing to the Crockett Cup Semifinals: The Good Brothers
Kyle Davis joins The Good Brothers in the ring, but Rant takes the mic and says the Presidents of the NWA United States Tag champs salute them. Chantz adds they wish to congratulate them on surviving Slimeball City. They offer a Too Slimy (which sounds as gross as it is), but Gallows and Anderson look at them like something they scraped off the bottom of their shoe and just decline and walk out.
To paraphrase the great philosopher Hank Hill, “Those boys ain’t right.”
The Southern Six discuss their loss in the Cup, and Alex Taylor and Kerry Morton argue about who dropped. “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason tells them to get their heads on a swivel, because there should be no fracturing of the Southern Six. Morton nods in agreement, but Taylor is not as convinced.

But we need to turn to ringside for another…

Crockett Cup Quarterfinal Match: The Titans of Calamity (Jack Talos and Ren Ayabe) (No. 16 Seed) vs. El Dragón Nihan and Thom Latimer (No. 9 Seed)
The Titans are riding a wave of success after beating the bracket with a huge win over the number-one seed, The Immortals.
Latimer, for all his accolades and titles in the National Wrestling Alliance, has a chance to win the one thing that has eluded him: the Crockett Cup. Having Dragón in his corner gives him a sporting chance. Either way, there is a ton o’ humanity in the ring
Latimer and Ayabe start, and they get into a shoving match. Ayabe attempts a choke slam, but the veteran escapes, and then he mounts the Japanese giant with punches. Latimer then sends him out with a low bridge, and he knocks down Talos and then leaps outside from the top turnbuckle, in a very uncharacteristic move for The King of All Evil.

We come back, and the Titans are working over Latimer, and Nihan has yet to enter the match. They nail their Hart Foundation variation double-team move, and Latimer kicks out at two. Nihan blind tags in, and now this is your Kaiju match. First, he takes out Ayabe, and then the Dragón nails a superkick to Talos.

He attempts a powerbomb, but Ayabe is there for the save. Talos connects with a choke slam, but the big man is back up. The Titans make El Dragón ride the lightning, and Ayabe makes the Cover, while Talos ensures Latimer is unable to help his tag partner as the ref’s hand comes down at three.

The Titans are looking very confident and are emerging as the team to beat in this Cup as they come one inch closer to claiming The Crockett Cup.

In short, Legursky gets the full Carson Drake Experience.
The two positive takeaways I had from this segment are:
It was short and to the point (because, really…who wants three-plus hours of a podcast?!), and…
This show is FAR better than Joe Rogan, Logan Paul, and Kill Tony on their best days (which, honestly, is a low bar to jump over)
Damian Fenrir congratulates Misery on his win, but it won’t happen again as he takes the NWA to new heights.

The Burke Invitational Gauntlet
This gauntlet match is to determine the new number one contender to the NWA World Women’s Title. You can win by pinball, submission, or elimination by sending an opponent over the top rope. We will see seven competitors (six of whom are on the title banner) vie for a shot at The Burke, to be used anytime, anywhere.
Well, at least there’s no briefcase involved.
“Hollyhood” Haley J enters the ring, followed by Kylie Paige. Before the bell rings, Haley tells the ref to check her shoes. After he does that, she makes Kylie check hers as she nails a boot to her face.
They unload the big guns, but HollyHood is getting the better of this fight and proving why she is the baddie from the BouGhetto.

Next up is Shay Karmichael, from Texas Style Wrestling, and Your Husband’s Favorite Wrestler© (her words, not mine) is preening for the Forney crowd, while Haley and Kylie team up briefly. Karmichael holds her own and tries to send Haley over the top rope, but cannot. The next entrant is Gretta, which then leads to…
Ads (but, you know…I can just skip ahead here, so let’s do that)
We come back, and Gretta makes her presence known as she gets the Diesel Push, quickly eliminating Karmichael and Haley in short order.

She stalks Kylie and gets her in a fireman’s carry, until Kenzie Paige appears as the next entrant and the Pretty Empowered duo work over the monster in Gretta, but she gives them a double clothesline to stop their offense in its tracks. The next entrant is Morgan Mercy, who is making her debut from NWA Texas, and she and Gretta are in a shoving match. Kenzie is a little spark plug against the two Mother Monsters, but Mercy and Gretta have other ideas.

Gretta then sends Mercy over the top and finishes it up with a choke slam. Next entrant is Herra, and she is making a statement against Gretta and the Paige Sisters. She catches Kylie’s wrist and gives her short-arm clotheslines. Kenzie then delivers a Kenzie Cutter to pin the mysterious Herra and send her packing. Then, Kylie uses the opportunity to send her sister over the top rope

Kenzie is agog as we head to…
More ads (again, let’s skip ahead, folks!)
We come back, and Tiffany Nieves comes out as the final entrant. Already, the odds are not in Kylie’s favor, as TV-MA is in the ring while Ms. Starr directs traffic outside. She hits the rope, and Starr trips her up, and Nieves and Gretta beat her down. The ref on the outside says she needs to leave ringside, and Starr kicks the upright in the ref’s…err, little stripes. As Gretta and Nieves see Starr dealing with the drama on the outside,, Kylie attempts a roll up for a two count. TV MA once again teams up on the younger Paige sister. She continues to fight back and hits Nieves with a knee strike, then a running basement dropkick to cover, but Gretta picks her spot and chokeslams Kylie.

Gretta pulls Nieves over Paige’s body to pin her and eliminate her. Now it’s just Gretta and La Princesa in the ring, but wouldn’t you know it, Nieves has a plan and dismisses her monster. Gretta willining climbs over the top rope to eliminate herself. That means…
Your Winner of The Burke Invitational Gauntlet: Tiffany Nieves
The Women of TV-MA assemble by the ring to celebrate the victory of La Princesa as the show comes to a close.
