In August 2025, DIJAK and Bishop Dyer had just come off a win in the Major League Wrestling Tag Team championships when Dyer sat down with Slam! and reflected on his career up to that point.
Dyer recently gave Slam more time in the lead-up to MLW Fusion and shared his thoughts on a number of things happening in MLW. He takes on Hammerstone in Atlanta and is excited for the potential Fusion has: “You have guys like Hammerstone who are just built like a brick shit house.” Of course, Dyer means that as a compliment to his opponent. MLW also boasts hosting matches with the likes of KUSHIDA, Titan, and Hechicero.
It’s this diversity in talent that has been a welcome challenge for The Nomad. As well, he’s been in the ring with an array of talent that has brought the best out of him.
“You have legends like Mistico and Nakamura. Then you have up and coming guys that are trying to make a name for themselves. You’re getting that whole kind of diversity in the wrestling world, talent-wise, which is so important to the whole business.”

MLW recently signed sought-after prospect Labron Kozone to a multi-year deal. Dyer is excited for what this could mean for MLW and its fans: “I think it’s great for the company. I think it’s great for the talent. I think it’s great for the audience, most importantly, because they know where they can watch them for the next couple of years, and they can watch them grow.”
Shotzi also recently signed long-term with MLW after making a number of appearances in the promotion since her debut against Ava Everett at MLW Blood and Thunder 2025.
“MLW is such a great culture of talent, and now you’re having the internet audience buy into what we’re doing and buy into the show. When we’re episodic, they’ll buy into the storylines, and they’ll want to follow those guys, and they come out, and you watch. When Kross shows up, the fans are there to see him. It’s amazing because, by proxy, the guys working with Kross, the internet’s going to [want to know more about them].”

Speaking of the current MLW World Heavyweight Champion, Killer Kross is someone Bishop Dyer has in his sights. Having been a part of the 40-man match in which Kross outlasted everyone else, Dyer is ready for a shot at the title and some revenge for losing the rumble.
“I think that we’ve kind of been synonymous with each other a little bit … We’re different. You’re not calling two rock bands the same rock band because they play rock music; they have their differences. So Kross and I have been in that conversation together for people for quite some time.”
Dyer acknowledges the parallels but thinks they suggest a title match sooner rather than later.
“He’s a jiu-jitsu guy. He has trained in some fighting, and obviously, I have as well. So I think it’s only a matter of time till we cross paths in the squared circle and we come to blows and we see who walks out holding the title.”
