PWInsider.com is reporting that Corey Graves will not be part of tonight’s NXT broadcast. He was apparently sent home by management and was seen departing Orlando this afternoon.
Word is that Graves is not happy with the latest shift in his career.
With the debut of Raw on Netflix and continued shuffling of WWE talent to assure that Raw is the WWE flagship show Graves was reassigned to NXT last week to join Booker T and Vic Joseph.
Michael Cole and Pat McAfee now handle Raw while Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett have been assigned to Smackdown.
Graves posted his feelings about the changeover on X:
“Imagine chasing your dream. Then being TOLD (not deciding) that you’re no longer physically able to pursue your dream. Then you dedicate your life to something “dream adjacent” and being pretty f—–g awesome at it. And then, when it’s time to enjoy the fruits of your labor, being told you’re not famous enough for your own job. Just in case you’ve wondered where I’ve been.”
Graves followed that up with this proclamation:
I’ve got a lot to say.
Don’t miss #WWENXT tonight on @TheCW
TONIGHT.🎤 🔥

Graves began his time with WWE as a wrestler in the indies and NXT before having to hang his boots up due to concussion issues. He became a pre-show panelist, an NXT color commentator and then moved his way up to main roster programming.
